After 8 years, the Sly Cooper franchise made a surprising comeback in 2013, with the realease of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. The first 3 Sly games were developed by Sucker Punch Productions. However, the franchise was bought by Sanzaru Games, who then went on to make the 4th Sly Cooper game. Sly 4 was the first installment of Sly to be available on the PlayStation 3.

In this game, The Cooper Gang travel back in time and finds many of Sly's ancestors, in an attempt to repair the Thievius Raccoonus.
